Company: Magnet Harlequin. Along with an entire company rebrand in 2014, Brakes were eager to use the opportunity to refresh some of their high volume products in order to rival mainstream competition. They required a new look that would present well in their customers’ businesses as well as look great on shelf in their stores. Previously, Brakes milk products used a utilitarian company-branded design. With their goal to become more customer facing, a new ‘classic but funky and modern’ look was needed. Following on from the Freezing Cow frozen yogurt designs created in the previous year, the new front of house designs incorporated the cheeky cow with a farm scene. Keeping with the traditional category colours, the designs were adaptable for their three highest selling milk products. The cheeky cow and farm scene is enhanced by the messaging about Brakes’ milk supplier ‘Yew Tree Dairy’ which is incorporated into the design.
